Lived Mamayunk, Philadelphia, PA 2nd Battalion Co E Lookout Mtn Captain Jesse Fulmer and P.T. Swain. Participated in Tennessee and Mississippi campaigns. Fought at battle of Shiloh, siege of Corinth, Buell''s march, Murfreesboro, Kennesaw Mtn, Hoover''s Gap, and Garrison''s Creek. Taken prisoner Sept. 20th, 1863 at Chickamauga lay suffering from a broken leg for 5 hours received from a wounded horse falling on him. Prisoner until May 8, 1864 when exchanged for a confederate soldier

Sgt Miller enlisted in the 15th US 2nd Batallion, company F in late June 1863. He had served in the 130th Pennsylvania Infantry until May of 1863. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1865 and stayed on with the Army until 1871
